“The Irony of the Overprotected Child” – Jeffrey S. Dill

How late were you allowed to stay out as a child?
How far away from home did mom and dad let you ride your bike?
How many hours of the day did you play outside?

Will you let your children do the same?

This article does a wonderful job addressing the type of “sheltering” that everyone is prone to; not just Christians. But is there validity to this overprotectiveness? Are we helping or hurting our children by keeping them from the otherwise moral endeavors that riddled our childhood? Is our world too dangerous?

Regardless of your answer to the above questions, please read Jeffrey Dill’s “The Irony of the Overprotected Child.”
