Weekend Update: 8/28/14

Weekend UpdateWe plan to celebrate Labor Day by taking a short break from laboring!

Internet issues as they are and the approaching holiday weekend, we hope to join the rest of you in celebrating the weekend with a little time off.

Lord willing, absence will make the heart grow fonder, and we’ll see all of you back when we start publishing again.

Of course, if you can’t wait until then, please feel free to check out our site for uplifting and challenging reading material. There’s a lot there, and we appreciate your comments, questions, and shares.

#TBTB #TBT – Biblical Words Cannot Be Dismissed

ThrowBack Thursday TBT
The guiding principle for any Christian (and the heartbeat of this ministry) is to champion the authority of Scripture.

This was the guiding principle of Bob Bixby as he wrote “Biblical Words Cannot Be Dismissed” concerning the homosexuality debate. He was right to start with that precept because Christians cannot accept the homosexuality as a Christ-honoring lifestyle without first ignoring the Bible.

Please ground yourself in truth by reading “Biblical Words Cannot Be Dismissed.”

“‘5 Ways to Fail God’ by Miley Cyrus”

5 Ways to fail God by Miley CyrusWhen the world thinks an entertainer has slipped off the deep-end, you know it’s gotta be bad.

How does a sweet, “Christian” girl from “good” family pull an Anakin Skywalker?

The answers were always there.

For years, Miley has been teaching us exactly how to fail God.

Let’s take a look at one of the chapters from her “book” entitled How to Fail God.

Weekend Update: 8/23/14

Weekend UpdateDespite Mr. Brewster’s best intentions, it seems that this internet connectivity issue may prove to be a challenge needing much patience. We’d appreciate your prayer for God’s best in this situation.

As of now, there will be no Sunday Sermon Series this week, but we do hope to publish “‘5 Ways to Fail God’ by Miley Cyrus” on Monday (assuming Aaron can get us the document). :-)

#TBTB #TBT – “Indonesian Hatred in America”

ThrowBack Thursday

Why is America . . . so dead-set on becoming like Indonesia in their ridiculous hate-speech legislation?”

“Hate Speech” is a phrase created by people who want to keep others from disagreeing with them. Christians should never use this phrase because we know that we will be hated and there’s nothing we can do about it. But we needn’t tolerate it when individuals or governments attempt to keep us from speaking truth in love.

We hope you’re re-invigorated for truth after reading “Indonesian Hatred.”

Connectivity in the Woods

Internet Connection in the Woods

Dear Friends,

We’d like to apologize. Mr. Brewster is having some difficulties with internet connectivity in the north woods of Wisconsin. It’s being worked on, but until he’s able to connect to the interweb his posts will be scant.

He’s extremely sorry for the inconvenience and prays the other content here will continue to be a blessing.

He will continue to write, however, in preparation for his reconnection to the world. :)

On a positive note, though his connectivity with us is shaky, he is starting many new and exciting relationships at Victory Academy.

Music Wednesdays

When we stand before God at the end of the age, we can know with everlasting certainty that we stand complete in Christ. Nothing we have ever done will add or take away from the perfect work of our substitutionary sacrifice, Jesus Christ.

Weekend Update: 8/16/14

Weekend Update

The move is done, and we have a very special note from Mr. Brewster!

But before we share it with you, please note that there will be no Sunday Sermon Series this week, but don’t miss our Monday Feature: “‘5 Ways to Fail God’ by Miley Cyrus.”

Also, Ask the Counselor is our new interactive feature where you can email us at any time with questions you have about what the Bible says and what that means for you. Please note that all correspondence is confidential and founded in God’s Word.

Now please enjoy this personal letter from AMBrewster:

Well, I’m here . . . and I’m exhausted.

Moving is taxing in itself, and though the vast majority of the heavy-lifting was done last week when I drove my family up here to Victory, the mental and emotional weight of leaving the people I’ve been ministering to for the past seven years has left me drained.

Yet along with the exhaustion comes a renewed excitement for everything the Lord has planned for us this year. I am anticipating great things from God this fall and hope you’re looking forward to them as much as I am. I’m very excited about working at Victory, and I’m pumped about the opportunities Evermind Ministries will have in our new home.

So, even though most of the boxes are unpacked, there’s still a lot of work to be done. I’ll be starting my training soon so I can learn the ropes up here at Victory. New posts from me may be spotty for a time, but my desire is to start here strong without any interruptions in either ministry. We’ll see if the Lord allows me to accomplish that. I also would like to start conference speaking after I get settled in. Please remember that if I can be a blessing to your ministry, do not hesitate to reach out to me at AMBrewster@EvermindMinistries.Com. Our schedules may not always mesh, but I’ll do my best to make it happen.

I hope to be sharing pictures on Twitter very shortly of my family in our new home. Please feel free to follow me @AMBrewster for those updates and much more. Who knows, pics may even show up on Evermind’s Facebook page  or @EvermindTruth if they run out of interesting things to share. :-)

Please know that even though I don’t know all of you personally, I love you very much. I want God’s best for your life, and I pray that Evermind can play a beneficial role in you becoming more like your God.

Aaron M. Brewster
